Today was our 21 week scan which all went fine. The Fetal Medicine and Genetics Testing Centre where we got it done freaks me out a bit as it's all very Gattaca but they are very nice and thorough.
The big news of the scan is that we are having a boy! Phew, no need to wipe egg off my face. This pregnancy has felt very different to the last, which is what had me convinced. We are so used to having a little girl that the thought of a boy is a little daunting but I'm sure we will get over that very quickly.
Julia is staying with us at the moment which allowed Andy and I a rare night out last night. We went to Tokyo at Emirates Towers with my friend Pete from uni and his wife Sogol who were here on a stopover for the evening. It was great to see them and very nice (for me) to be out in the adult world for an evening. Not a child in sight!
