We are in Christchurch at the moment. It's great to be here although we had to buy tights for Daisy and a polar fleece for Andy on our first day here as it's so cold! We had a relaxed trip down. We stopped at Montana in Blenheim for lunch, The Store at Kekerengu for afternoon tea then Kaikoura for dinner. All the breaks meant it was managable for Daisy who coped better than I thought she would. We have been out to lunch with Granddad Jim the last two days so Daisy is enjoying getting to know him.
Last Saturday was Isabella's naming ceremony which was a really nice afternoon and evening. Isabella looked gorgeous in her little dress. She was kind enough to let Daisy join her for her evening bath and they had a great time splashing away. Daisy had a good afternoon, particulary thanks to the attention lavished on her by two and a half year old Charlie Hobbs who spent the whole time kissing her, rubbing her feet and bringing her flowers. Sweet!
We've been for a few swims in Nelson which Daisy has really enjoyed. Two were in a heated pool but the third was in the sea which was freezing. I was sure Daisy would scream but she had a fab time, laughing away in between gasping in shock. I was gasping myself. Brrr.
