More summer hols.

Turning 5 months means.....solids!

Maxi was a little unsure at first but was up to champion eater status within a few days.

3 days later (at the exact age Daisy got hers) out pops a tooth!

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

The views from our rooms, looking one way, then the other. Wow.

I got up the first morning to find an early game of Uno already in progress.

We had a lot of fun at Wild Wadi.

Dinner at Beachcombers.

All zonked out.

To break up the hols we had a two night break at JBH. It's a great hotel and we had a brilliant time.

We started the hols with breakfast at The Address.

Julia came to visit.

We saw the Imagination Movers. The kids loved it. I had fun too.

All that fun wore the smallest boys out.

Oh my god! Cuter by the day!

We hit the malls to beat the heat. The boys kicked back and made themselves at home in Pottery Barn.

We visited Andy in his new office within the blue Global Village globe. It was weird. And made me feel a bit sick.

We got the start of hols illnesses out the way quick. Daisy tends to Bastie who has a fever.

The pool is always a winner in summer.

We were so excited when the summer hols finally arrived. It was time to kick back, chill out and spend a lot of time in our pyjamas. We occasionally managed to get out the house too.

Sebastian on his last day at Lisa's. We've had a child going to her for six years straight. Sebastian coped fine with leaving, I didn't fare so well.

We were all very relieved when the school year wrapped up at the end of June, everyone was knackered and pick ups were miserable in the hot hot hot. What wasn't so good is that football also finished for the term for Zach. He plays with his friend Miles and loves it, it's probably the highlight of his week. My photos are all a bit crap and blurry, still getting used to my new phone!

Yay for Daisy!

Daisy and Zach both put on excellent school shows this year. Daisy's year group (all 220 of them) serenaded us with some excellent songs and Zach's year group put on some great singing and dancing. Zach's class also did a lovely end of year presentation which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to watch but Daisy won 1st place with her hip hop dance routine to Pitbull's Can't Stop the Party in her end of year Repton's Got Talent contest. What a star!

Three weeks later and off it comes. 

The face of braveness.

We had out first broken bone in early May, courtesy of Zach falling awkwardly leaving school one day. He broke his 5th metatarsal in his foot and had to have a cast although luckily for only 3 weeks. I showed some excellent mothering by making him hobble around on it for two days before taking him to the doctor. Gulp. It didn't slow him down at all although we insisted he only kick a light football while the cast was on.

Snoozing again!

At the start of May Max got his first live concert experience when we took all the kids to see Justin Bieber. Bieber up to his reputation and caused no end of headaches for Andy's work but the kids had a great time. It was a VERY late night, he didn't come on until 10.20pm but we were prepared and the kids had all had afternoon sleeps. Max snoozed by the bar with Andy and the rest of us had a great view from a grandstand. Zach nearly exploded with excitement when he came on, Daisy played it cool and Sebastian was a bit overwhelmed with it all. He put on a good show and despite it not being my ideal choice for a night out, it was great to finally be out in the evening and have a dance.

At the end of June we had a great time seeing the Imagination Movers live in concert. I didn't really know what to expect but they were fantastic, loads of energy and a lot of fun. We were very lucky to have front row seats so we all (even Max!) got lots of high fives from them as they spent a lot of time in the crowd. They sung lots of current songs which was great. Zach was again our little raver and even got to shout in to the microphone, go Zach.
