Phuket

The elephants were big and had a rolling gait. I nearly spewed.

The boy's driver decided to get off and go for a wander. Cue to conniptions from me.

We went for a great walk to a Gibbon sanctuary and to a waterfall one day.

Half of Dubai was in Phuket. We met the Roses and the Johnsons for dinner one night, followed by some beach rugby.

We went for a drive one day to check out some neighbouring beaches. All going well in the back....

...until the windy hills got the better of the kids. Bastie was the first to turn green, closely followed by Zach then Daisy.

All recovered, back in the pool. We spent hours a day in the pool.

Actually, Andy and the kids spent hours in the pool. I spent hours lying in one of the salas.

This photo should have been by our drive photos but such is the nature of blogger! Here is a huge pink massage parlour in Patong. What a dive. Lots of fat bald white men and young Thai girls. Yuck.

I'm so behind in my blogging! Will start the catch up with our summer holiday to Phuket. We went for eight nights with our friends Katie and Mike and their kids Lucy, Phoebe and George. It was fantastic, very relaxing and very easy. We stayed in a two bed apartment in a fab hotel opposite Surin Beach.

Rumble in the Jungle

The Early  Years department put on a fabulous show this year. It was called 'Rumble in the Jungle' and the children did a fantastic job. Zach's class sung three songs including 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' which they also did in Arabic with the other classes. Zach was brilliant, he sung really loudly and had a great time. Well done Zach!

Summer!

Ice blocks are a great way to beat the heat.

It's coooooold!

Sometimes it's just too hot and we have to stay inside. Which is always fun when the Smith's are visiting.

Daisy had Barnaby Bear home from school one weekend, he enjoyed some trampolining.

He also enjoyed the pool.

Summer is here and we've been having lots of fun in the garden with plenty of water to keep us cool. We've also been spending a lot of time at the pool. Daisy spends more time swimming under the water than above it, Zach can now swim independently in the deep end and Bastie still loves floating around on his armbands.

Andy's birthday.

24 again!

Lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Music videos on a giant screen with lunch. And a motorbike. Kid heaven.

Andy turned 42 on 20 April. To celebrate, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch then dinner and a few drinks with friends at the Golf Club in the evening. Happy birthday Andy!
