Also in late September, we paid a visit to Dino Live. It was really good and these photos don't do it justice. The dinosaurs were very realistic and moved. You could even see them 'breathing'. Some of them were huge and the kids loved it although were a bit freaked out too!

Towards the end of the September things had cooled down enough for us for an early morning beach trip. We went to Sunset beach in Umm Sequim. Very nice.

There was much excitement on 8 September when Bastie got his first tooth, top work habibi! We were at Festival City at the time so quickly dashed to Hyper-Panda to buy a toothbrush to celebrate.

It was still hot when we got back and the kids quickly got in to pool mode.

It was also Ramadan when we arrived. Daisy was thrilled with our visit to the 'shiny, beautiful' Meydan hotel for Iftar. This photo was on the terrace.

Bastie was very happy to get his teeth in to his exersaucer.

I've fallen very behind in my blogging of late. There don't seem to be enough hours in the day in the real world so the virtual world has been very neglected! On that note, better get uploading photos...

Singapore - again!

A chilled start...

...more kids pile on to the bed...

...then the wild rumpus begins!

I loved the flowery bathroom. And yes, there was a screen to pull down.

We were only intending on staying in the transit hotel in Changi Airport but due to a flight mess up we stayed at the Crowne Plaza at the airport for two nights instead.

Happily this ended up being great as it really broke the journey up, we had a fab room which opened on to the pool and, best of all, Blake, Adrianne, Flynn, Bengy, Ness and Zac came out to see us - hurrah! As an added bonus, it also meant no jet-lag when we got to Dubai.

The kids were great for the whole journey. No problems at all - I even got to watch a couple of movies. Champions.

Christchurch

After a great month in Nelson we headed back down to Christchurch for 5 nights. The kids were stars on the trip and we managed it with only one stop in Kaikoura for lunch at Hislops then the playground.

Once in Christchurch we were very excited to meet Sid, Oli and Rosie's new arrival. He was very sweet and cuddly and sleepy. Oli and Rosie were really relaxed and calm and doing a wonderful job.

We were also very excited to see Carlene and Ella who had flown down from Auckland for the weekend. We also saw Kate, Rik, Oli and their beautiful new arrival Neve and Jan and Scott too. Quite a Creyke Road flat reunion!

I forgot to take photos most of the time, boo. My brain wasn't functioning very well from lack of sleep by this point and it didn't help that two days before leaving I went to check in online and discovered that our Singapore - Dubai flight had been CANCELLED and rebooked on a night flight. I should have been contacted but wasn't. The thought of a night flight with the three kids on my own was nearly enough to tip me over the edge and I spent the rest of the time in Chch reorganising my plans. Anyway, finally got it sorted and it worked out well - but that's another post!
