It was a balmy spring day today, sun shining, blossoms falling, lovely. It was also a good day as Sam arrived from Auckland, the kids are loving having uncles at every turn, yay!

Bring on lunch!

We're having a good time in Nelson. There has been lots of lovely clear blue winter days but enough rain to keep Daisy happy. We are taking things at a very sedate pace which is a nice change. Most mornings we walk in to town through Queen's Gardens then have coffee at the Suter Art Gallery then go somewhere for lunch. Afternoons we see friends or just chill out. Very relaxed. We are really missing Andy but we video call him every afternoon which helps.

He also wasn't so sure about his new car seat to start with. Daisy loves that they can hold hands now.

After a much better flight than expected (both kids slept most of the way) we arrived in Christchurch to find it FREEZING. There was however a very warm welcome from Oli and Rosie which was lovely.

Singapore

Bag packed and ready to go. Daisy was very excited about going on 'the plane in the sky'.

Once in Singapore, Zack lost no time making friends.

Daisy wasn't thrilled about going on the noisy and scary underground.


Jet lag soon kicked in.

Flynn also caught a quick snooze.

Andy and Zack enjoy the view at Sentosa Island whilst Daisy enjoys running in the rain. She was very excited about the rain.

We're about halfway through our holiday and having a marvellous time. Singapore was fabulous, it was great to catch up with Blake and Adrianne and finally meet Flynn who is adorable. Photos are taking an age to load so I'd better get started...

Back on the ladder and up and away.

Our big news this month is we have bought a house! We'd rather not be at the mercy of a landlord and with rocketing rents and no sign of the credit crunch in Dubai, the time felt right. The downside is that it's not built yet and won't be ready until November 2009. Ages. It's in a new development here at the Ranches where we currently live and can be checked out at:

It's a type 2 - end unit so similar to what we have now, just a bit bigger.

The other excitement is that in a short few hours we are heading off on our summer holiday. Yay! A week in Singapore then NZ. Andy is coming for 3 weeks then me and the kids will stay on in NZ for an extra month after he leaves. It will be so good to see everyone. And get outside!

No photos today because the camera is packed and I haven't downloaded any new ones off it. Better finish the packing, our first flight with two kiddies, gulp!

Summer's really here now, we had the first showing of 50 degrees last week which prompted even Daisy (who likes the heat) to remark that 'it was a bit 'ot.' She's gonna freak when we arrive in Chch in a couple weeks - I talked to Oli yesterday, it had been snowing and was 1 degree. Yikes!
